Remove the old one. Had to drill out the screws that had corroded and froze up. Install the new one.

Difficult to change miter angle on saw after loosening adjustment knob- dragging grinding sound

Checked plate clamp on saw and discovered it was bent against saw causing grinding sound. Would not release from against saw body even after loosening knob. Clamp appeared to have bent over time and usage. Removed the two screws from the old plate clamp and put the new one on with the screws.
