It is an original manufacturer-supplied component which is made for Back and Decker and DeWALT compound miter saws. This special roller attaches to the guard to protect it from direct contact with work material. Over time it may wear out and get damaged eventually requiring a replacement. One durable rubber roller guard is made of high-quality material and is sold individually. Note, the hardware to secure it is sold separately. Replacing it is a simple task that should only require pliers.
