Replacement plastic guard was not to specification - the two sides were not parallel and did not fit as intended. Grossly out of shape when compared with original guard.
Ended up stacking multiple steel washers together and placed them at the narrow end of the gap of the guard to get the sides parallel. Soaked entire assemble in
... Read moreboiling water to soften the plastic guard, then placed it into cold water to set the plastic into the new shape. Let sit for a few hours, then was able to install without further incident.
