Removed 4 top screws and 5 bottom screws
Separated the top from the bottom handle
Removed 2 screws holding the trigger mechanism
Reinstalled in reverse order

The handle had a crack in the plastic molded handle.

1. Removed the top part of the handle 3 screws 2 long and 1 short screw near the front.under the handle2 screws. 1 short machine screw inside where the lower handle is attached to the metal frame.
2. Took a picture of the inside configuration of the wires and harness . Also the plastic red switch assembly.
removed the switch with 2 screws and other switch parts.
3. Replace lower plastic handle and all the switches. making sure the wire harness was tucked in the same way it came out. replaced the red thumb switch assembly.
4. Replaced all screws in the order that I removed and done.... about 25 minutes.

A 2x4 gotten loose and feel on the saw

Remove the screws from the handle assembly. I took some pictures of where all the internal parts went. I then installed all of the parts into the new handle and screwed the halves back together.

Top part of handle was broken.

1. Removed the old handle set. (The screw holding the handle together on the left above the blade is difficult to get out with a regular screwdriver)
2. Removed the wires and the switch components.
3. Fastened the switch in the bottom part of the handle, carefully putting the wires and the switch components in place.
4. Put the bottom part of the handle in place, then fastened the top part of the handle.

Remove the screws from the top handle
Take a picture of where the internal parts are located
Remove the switch and the parts
Remove the bottom handle
Install the bottom handle
Install the switch and parts
Install the top handle
Then just slide the new dust bag on

I cracked the handle rolling it through a tight door. Decided to replace it before it got too bad. Also replaced a few parts that were just cosmetic.

It was just a matter of removing the screws and paying attention to how the wires and trigger stop were routed and positioned. If you don\'t have a strong memory take a few photos and pay attention to how you remove the trigger release. Very easy.

1 - Unscrewed old handle, keeping track of screw lengths
2 - Disconnect wiring and move to new handle
3 - Move triggers to new handle
4 - Re attach screws in the right places; donÆt pinch the wiring.
