This is an intake filter element kit that includes two intake filter elements. This filter is designed to clean air that enters the compressor pump. It is very important that this filter is kept clean and nothing is blocking it. If they are not kept clean this can reduce air flow from the air compressor. It should be cleaned weekly by opening the air filter and removing the filter element. It should be cleaned thoroughly and dried completely before being reassembled. Replace it quarterly or every 300 hours. If using the air compressor in a particularly dusty environment, it will need to be replaced more often. If it looks worn replace it right away. If your compressor is experiencing low pressure, over heating, insufficient output, low discharge pressure, it could be due to a worn or dirty intake filter that needs to be cleaned or replaced.
