There were only 3 bolts holding the fender in place. However, to get to the bolts, the wheel on the Troy-Bilt Splitter had to be removed to get to 2 of them, hence, the floor jack. I used the jack to lift the splitter, pull the wheel off of the axle, remove the old fender bolts, install the new fender, replace the bolts, repack the wheel ... Read more
