This is a genuine Coleman replacement kit used with liquid-fueled lanterns. This is a set of two metal pieces that fit where the bail handle is attached to the ventilator. They sit on top of the collar and hold the glass globe.

Not exact fit, but worked anyway

My son recovered a coleman lamp that was being discarded, it was missing the heat shield. Parts for that is specific lantern model seem to be rare, so we ordered this kit, which was close enough. When it arrived we installed it. May son clipped the square ends of the the tabs off the heat shield & it went right in place. As with most coleman lanterns it works just fine & he doesn't have to worry about the valve melting now.

Was missing heat shield for my Coleman lantern.

The only \"adjustment\" I had to make was bend the tabs of the heat shield down so the glass lens would seat correctly. Other than that, it was just a matter of sliding the heat shield into place.
