Toro Inlet safety cover worked great. I was just about to buy a new leafblower because the unit will not run because of the safety feature built into the unit. ... Read more shield that also secures the blower attachment. it was the right part. one of three projects I have used Ereplacement for parts I needed. thank you. I did not have to get rid of tools that work but were missing a part.
Inlet cover, covers the intake opening which exposes the rotor fan. if tool is used as a vacuum, the opening is covered by the vacuum extension tube. when the tool is used as a blower, the opening must be covered by the inlet cover to shield anything being sucked into the rotor fan. the inlet cover also helps secure the blower attachment.
1) taking the old broken piece was easy, it literally disinigrated as I took it off
2) However trying to get the screw that held the old tube in place was very difficult. Nothing I tried could make that \"welded\": screw loose.

My blower was missing the inlet cover. What I found out, is that the cover has a pin in it, to allow the blower to work.
Actually was looking to make a part for a blower attachment that instead of blowing leaves..to suck the leavesGǪcreated a longer section to suck leaves from a gutter with blower vac..worked!
