The intake cover clips had broke. The tube end had broken and would not stay connected. The end tube was worn. These items were in need repair after 18 years of usage.

Pretty much self explanatory. The intake cover just snaps into place. The tube where the handle is connected only required an Allen wrench to remove the handle and put it back on the new tube. I used a socket to remove the clamp around the old tube to disassemble it. A Phillips head or a straight blade screwdriver could have been used on the clamp since it was slotted on mine. The tube slides into one end and tighten the clamp to hold it in place. The other end you just twist off and twist back onto the new piece and it locks in place. That\'s it and works as expected.
