This is an OEM replacement part for Craftsman blowers. The rope coils around the pulley of the recoil starter allowing it to generate a spark to start the engine. This part is made of nylon cord and is sold individually. The start handle (part number: 530054834) is sold separately. For this installation, you will need a screwdriver and a pair of needle nose pliers. Before starting this repair, be sure to disconnect the spark plug.
