This black plastic band holder is an original Makita part found in backpack blowers. The strap is held to the top handle by this clip. It is what holds the strap in place onto the blower's frame. Over time this clip can crack or wear and will need to be replaced. This is a very simple repair that will only take a minute and does not require any tools. To remove it from the strap, unhook and it slide off. Slide the new band holder onto the end of the strap. It is sold seperately so it is a good idea to inspect the other one for wear at the same time.
