This foam air filter is a genuine Echo replacement part, it is not an aftermarket imitation. It is commonly utilized on backpack blowers. It is designed to remove dust and other contaminants from the air that goes into the engine. One foam filter is included per order. Please note, the plastic filter holder is sold separately. Replacing this item is a very simple task that does not require any tools.

Removed the backpack assembly. Disconnected the fuel line. The blower assembly comes apart with a few screws enabling you to replace the lower isolators and install the new ones. The upper ones are just bolted on. The air cleaner assembly comes apart with rubber band like fasteners. The air cleaner in inside. The carb kit is for lat er, the spark plug will be used as needed. Nothing special required.

Would not run smooth

Make a hook at the end of a wire, then fish out the fuel line with the filter on it.
Remove the old fuel filter and install the new one.
Put the new fuel filter back into the fuel tank
Remove the cover of the air filter and remove the old filter, then install the new filter
Remove the old spark plug and gap the ne w one at 0.025, then install it

Old and wore out

1. Remove old pull start assembly
2. Replace with new pull start assembly, only 3 screws.
Air filter
1. Removed old one, which in this case I opened the housing and the old one fell out.
2. Slid the new filter on the post carefully trying not to rip or tear new filter.
3. Placed it back in position and pla ced the housing cover and done. Simple

Dirty carb needed clearned and rebuilt.

Removed carb. Disassembled cleaned and installed new parts included in kwik kit. Reinstalled carb with new gaskets.
Installed new air filter.
Installed new spark plug.
Started engine and adjusted carb mixture jets to so engine ran smooth at both idle and full throttle.
Blower run and works very well.
