Removed all the plastics and the carburetor, heat shield , and all the old gaskets.
I removed the muffler then the spark plug.
I removed the 4 bolts securing the head to the bottom end.
I slid the cylinder off the piston
I removed the old rings with my fingers and then reversed the proc
... Read moreess and pulled apart the new ones and slid them into place with the notches on the rings with the indent to be up where the notch is on the piston. (Check how your old rings are on the piston before removing them to clarify this.
I bought a piston ring compressor tool to compress the rings then slide the cylinder back on the piston while the rings are being compressed.
I slid it all the way back on after cleaning the cylinder and the bottom end of the old gasket before putting it back together (make sure the old gasket doesnÆt fall into the engine.
After tightning the head bolts evenly and tight. I started to put back the muffler and heat shields.
From here you just install all the small stuff you took off like the carb and everything else.
A tip is to put two cycle oil on the piston and rings before sliding the piston into the cylinder.
Fill her back up with gas and fire it up and IÆd let it idle for a good 20 minutes for good precautions.
