This is a genuine OEM sourced replacement part, it is specially designed for use with Echo handheld lawn and garden equipment. The ignition coil also known as an armature-magneto provides the current for the ignition system by producing pulses of high voltage for the spark plugs. It is made of high-quality metal with a durable rubber insulated wire and is sold individually, keep in mind the spark plug boot is sold separately.

Disassembled blower and replaced bad coil with new. Set coil gap AT .010 Reassemble blower.

1. Troubleshoot and found no spark
2. Disassembled and troubleshoot to eliminate bad run/off switch as cause of problem
3. Disassembled and replaced coil assembly.
4. Used index card to set coil to flywheel/magnet air gap.
5. Reused boot, plug attachment hardware.
6. Assembled

No spark @ spark plug

This was on an Echo leaf blower.....removed all plastic covers, removed flywheel and then the ignition coil. Put new coil on and set gap with a business card and tightened screws back together and covers back on. Add new fuel, started second pull. Easy peasy.

Ignition coil went out

1. Removed plastic housings/shroud.
2. Removed blower fan.
3. Removed the last shroud.
4. Removed broken ignition coil paying attention to orientation.
5. Removed spark plug boot from old ignition coil and installed on new ignition coil.
6. Installed new ignition coil using a business card to set the gap betw een ignition coil and magnets on flywheel.
7. Installed shroud, blower fan and housings in reverse order.
