This is an authentic Echo part that has been OEM sourced to ensure a high level of quality. The starter pawl is intended to be used with backpack blowers and sprayers. The metal and plastic starter pawl is used to rotate the crankshaft when the recoil starter pulley is engaged. The rotation of the crankshaft also rotates the flywheel and causes the ignition module to ignite the fuel inside the cylinder. If the starter pulley is not catching the pawl when the rope is pulled the pawl may need to be replaced. This pawl includes the housing, springs, and both pawls. The assembly is priced as a single item.
