Engine throttle control melted away by grounded battery.

2. Ran cable thru supports and installed end into the throttle slid control.
3. Pop the old knob off of the old lever
4. Remove throttle mounting bolts.
5. Hold the new lever securely, use BOTH thumbs and POP the knob off and back feed the lever thru the mounting slot.

7. Test start engine and operate the throttle thru operating range to set the cable sheave holdment bracket.
8. Recycle old cable, and restow tools.

2. Ball on throttle lever would not pull off. Cut away with Dremel.
3. Attempted to lubricate and free old cable, but not able
4. Ordered replacement part. Part arrived with no instructions and lever ball in place. The ball did not want to pull off. Must be removed for ... Read more installation. Called for advice, but no info available. Placed throttle lever in vice and carefully pulled off the ball with a small claw hammer.
5. Installed throttle cable, replaced ball and connected cable to carb. Adjusted clamp on carb to ensure proper range of movement to include choke.
