drop deck, ordered parts, wait for parts, remove spindle pulley w/impact wrench, remove snap ring hammer like heck to get spindle & bearings out of housing. repeat in reverse to assemble

The bearings were bad on two of the blade shaft spindles

The bearings had gone bad in two of my blade spindles. I thought it was going to be a simple repair until I tried getting them apart. In order to get them apart I had to cut the shaft and beat it out the other side to the point of no repair. I was able to savage the housing and thanks to ereplacement parts I was able to get the new shaft s and bearings that were needed to get my Snapper zero turn back to work. The original bearings, and the bearings I received were sealed bearings, so I removed the seal from the inner side of both bearings and installed a grease fitting in the housing. So now I have access to grease the bearings when needed, so hopefully this will extend the life expectancy of the bearings so I never have to make this repair again.
