First, I removed the old cracked plastic grill trim by cutting it out with an oxy-acetylene torch. I then cleaned up the opening with a grinder. After custom-fitting the new grill, I used hot-glue to temporarily install it while using aircraft rivets to permanently fasten it to the hood.
