Left side deck adjustment gear fell off

1. Removed the temporary fix.
2. Lowered deck onto wooden shims on the left side set to the same height as the right side.
3. Removed the pin in the linkage to make it easier to line up deck and parts.
4. Installed parts, tightened into place, replace linkage pin.
5. Checked deck height at lowest, idle and highest levels to ensure it was correct.
6. Cleaned up tools and tested mower.

This was easily done in the driveway with basic tools. I would recommend checking all nuts and bolts when you do your spring maintenance and oil changes throughout the year.

Left side of mower deck would not raise or lower. Found adjusting nut and bolt were missing.

1. Installed new adjusting nut.
2. Measured the height of deck on right side.
3. Used wrench to adjust the left side to equal the right side.
4. Tighten everything down, job completed.

The mower deck would not adjust to an even level. The part that levels the deck had fallen off and could not be found.

1. I dropped the mower deck from the tractor.
2. Installed the new deck adjustment gear.
3. Reattached the deck to the tractor and cut the grass evenly.
It took about 1 hour. It was a snap with the new correct parts. The parts came within 4 days. Thanks ereplacementparts for your support and superior service.

The deck belt was secured by a regular bolt by previous owner. The deck dropped off and the belt broke.

Broken spindle pulley.

1. Removed deck from lawn tractor by taking off associated cotter pins.
2. Removed broken spindle pulley.
3. Replaced with new spindle pulley.
4. Replaced adjustment gear.
5. Replaced deck by inserting cotter pins into the associated connections.

Blade height adjustment gear came loose and I had to replace it .

Lined up the deck adjustment bracket with slots for gear up with another bracket behind it, put bolt through the adjustment gear into two holes that were lined up, put on a nut to tighten into, the correct new nut didn\'t come with the gear, bolt and washer so I improvised with one after I called customer service and they told me a nut wa sn\'t available for it, didn\'t make sense but I made it work, I suggest checking it often or putting loctite on the bolt threads so the gear doesn\'t rattle off again.
