This is an authentic OEM part for use with MTD, Yard-Man, Troy-Bilt, Yard Machines and Ryobi Lawn Tractors. The engine pulley attaches to the engine crankshaft and drives the transmission belt. The most common reason for replacing the pulley is when it is broken or worn, causing the blades to not turn. This part is sold individually. The tools that you will need to replace the engine pulley are a 5/8" socket and a pipe wrench.

Lift mower/tractor up, drop blade deck to access pulley. Must bend the belt guides away from pulley, pull main power belt off pulley, use vice grip pliers to hold old pulley & unscrew bolt from pulley. Once bolt & washers have been removed the pulley, it is very tight on main drive and must be removed carefully to not damage the main dive shaft. Place belt on new pulley line the guide for shaft with new pulley and work it back in place, may need to use wood handle of rubber hammer to bang into place, use Vice Grips to replace washers & bolt. Bend belt guides back into place and reattach the blade deck, lower tractor back to ground then test all parts to make sure you put everything back together again. Good luck
