Dropped the deck and replaced the belt. Took about thirty minutes. Also changed the oil and the filter. Replaced the air filter.

Blade belt was slipping

Rolled belt off clutch pulley at engine. Then removed the belt from the mower deck. Replaced with new belt, and rolled the belt on the clutch pulley.

Idler pulley and v-belt broke

1. Release tension from u-shaped bolt holding front of deck to front of machine.
2. Release deck from tractor by pulling spring-loaded pins on each side.
3. Slide mower deck out from under machine.
4. Remove broken belt and idler pulley.
5. Install new idler pulley.
6. Loosen idler pulley with belt guar d enough to get new v-belt on pulley.
7. Route v-belt through all pulleys as described on plaque on mower deck.
