Hooked one end of the spring to the speed selector and the other end to a hole on the opposite side the chassis.

1. Located small hole on the upper right corner of battery box (Looking at battery box from the rear of the mower.)
2. Put end of spring inside hole mentioned above.
3. Stretched spring (Small distance) to the bend in the shift lever below left fender, and released it.
4. Problem solved.
