Put a block of wood in the mower housing to stop the blade from turning. Remove the blade bolt/washer assembly. Remove the old blade and place the new blade on the spindle. Then tighten the blade/washer assembly in the spindle.

Used a motorcycle hydraulic floor jack to raise the front of mower. unclipped and raised the mulching cover of the deck. Held old blade with a leather palmed work glove in one hand and removed blade bolt with socked and ratchet wrench... installed new blade and torqued blade bolt to 55 ft lb ...lowered jack...mowed grass...
