This is an original part from Craftsman for use with Lawn Tractors. The flat pulley helps apply tension to the drive belt, allowing the belt to turn. The most common reason for replacing the flat idler pulley is when it breaks, causing the blades to not cut. This part is sold individually. The tool that you will need to replace the flat pulley is a 9/16 inch socket.
