Part is designed to fail. When it initially broke free of the handle. I hooked the cable up in it\'s alternat location. It held up a year.. Bought a new one.
Took apart steering wheel, dash cover/housing, removed old cable from dash, put all back together except new cable. New cable installed through dash opening via snap-in design.
