This is an original part from MTD and Troy-Bilt for use with Lawn Mowers. The brake cable connects the hand control to the transmission for braking. The most common reason for replacing the brake cable is when the mower engine won't start. This part is sold individually. The tools that you will need to replace the brake cable is a combo wrench and needle-nose pliers.
