1. Removed 4 screws (phillips screwdriver) from drive control lever housing at the handle end of cable.
2. Removed screw (3/8\" socket) from belt drive cover at mower end of cable.
3. Removed cable from belt tension control (pliers) at mower.
4. Clean debris from mower in belt pulley area.

Removed old cable. The button end of the cable had broken off. New cable loops over the drive unit at the bottom of the mower. The other end snaps into the drive lever at the mower handle. Very simple fx
Took old cable off and put new one on, was quick and easy. Remove screw that was holding down metal plate that covered cable that was connected to lawn mower, unhooked cable and then took screws out of variable speed control handle and hook cable to handle and put all screws back and I was good to go. Removed variable speed cable handle cover 4 screws (only need to remove the bottom part)
Removed old cable
