The control cable stops the blade when the control handle is released, unfortunately, if the cable is broken it will cause the brake to not release even when the lever is pressed. Loosen the cable clap under the handle .Removed the cable from the brake arm. Remove the other end from the engine linkage, which controls the wheel speed and the shut off of the engine. Restrung the cable the same way I took it off. Tighten the cable clamp under the handle. Tested.
Removed rear wheels with socket on axle bolt. Removed excess (old grease) from plastic housing behind wheel gear. Greased shoulder bolt & gear on wheel, reinstalled new wheel. It\'s easier to install if you release the height adjustment & swing it all the way down so you can hold the nut in place for the shoulder bolt.
