I removed the wheel , then I laid out all of the parts in order that had to be removed to get to the spring arm. You may want to take a picture first too. I then replaced the spring arm. Then put all of the parts I had taken off back on. Then place the knob on the spring arm. Not too difficult once I got past the lock pins and gear. 26 year old Toro and still running great.
