3. Removed the drive mechanisms.

Took parts off and laid them in a line as I removed. Opened the new parts bags and placed the next to the old parts. Then systematically installed the parts substituting new parts for old.

removed gear
removed key
removed plastic clutch washer
cleaned parts/grease
reassembled with new clutch washer
wheel engages now, but does not roll back as it should so not sure which part to replace next?

One rear wheel intermittently not engaging drive shaft.
Replaced friction ring and clutch washer.
On the first attempt the clutch washer was not in the correct position relative to the rocking key.
The two recessed areas on the clutch washer look similar but the correct one allows the key to rock into position when the transmission is engaged.

Toro Personal Pace 15 years old self propel really weak
