This is a genuine replacement part that has been OEM sourced to be used with walk-behind lawnmowers from Toro and Lawn Boy. The cable is part of a safety feature that stops the mower's blade when the control bar is released. Over time the cable can wear and the ends can break or snap off. If this occurs the cable will need to be replaced, the repair is relatively simple and may only require pliers, a wrench, and a screwdriver. This item is sold individually.

Removed old cable, and replaced cable with new cable. Used old cable as a guide. New cable came all in one piece. Saved a lot of money by doing it myself. 1. For the blade, use socket set to remove nut, replace blade and replace net.
2. For cable, remove nut near handle.
3. Undo cable and remove.
4. Place new cable on and bolt down.

This is pretty self-explanatory as by removing one to replace with new one in reverse order. Very easy to replace. Same with Cable Traction, I replaced it as well even though it was not broken. Both cables are run together so one was broke so I ordered and replace the other to be both new.
