This maintenance minder and hour meter is manufactured by Briggs and Stratton and is guaranteed to be compatible with your engine. This tool measures run time for 2 and 4 cycle engines. The 5-digit display shows the run time of the engine and should be set to zero at first. Once the engine starts, the meter will record the run time in tenths of hours. The display will flash on and off for an hour when the time reaches 25 hours or in a multiple of 25 hours, signaling that maintenance is recommended for the engine. Press the RESET button with a narrow-pointed item to stop the flashing. Using this tool is simple, wrap the red meter wire around the spark plug wire and place the white wire to the ground. Next, peel the backing off the meter and attach it to your equipment. Does not require batteries.
