Noticed the axle boots broken, so I felt the problem mite be that dirt was causing the extra strain on shift handle. Replaced the parts that I got from ereplacementparts. All fit perfect and now it shifts and drives great. Thanks
1. .In order to remove the old shifter assembly, you have to depress the spring that keeps the handle tight. If you don\'t do this then the removal of the old broken handle is just about impossible. This is a two-person job.We used a section of 2\" X 2\" piece of wood. This was held against the spring by one person while the other person

2. Took out the old cotter pin and clevis pin with the pliers.
3. Installed the new shift handle on the actual shifter rod while the spring was still depressed.
4. Installed the new lever, handle shifting rod.
