1. removed rear wheels. 2. removed rear drive axle and gear box. 3. opened gear box to gain access to the broken stud. 4. removed the head and splined remains of the old stud. cleaned the case and applied sealer to new stud and pressed it into the case. reassembled the gear case and axle. reinstalled the assembly on the mower. Snapper Rear Engine Riding Mower 1970s Vintage, Clutch was Slipping
I simply removed the 2 yoke bolts, installed new thrust washers, and other original hardware. Plus a new driven disc, for good measure. The Yoke was in a \"Bind\" and not fully engaging when the clutch pedal was released, because the washers were worn out. These parts put it back as it was made. Now it runs like new.
