The mulching blade fits between the blade support and the engine baffle. It is made of metal and is priced individually. It is a genuine item that is supplied by the original equipment manufacturer for use with Snapper walk-behind mowers. During the installation process, a socket set may be required. If this blade becomes broken or cracked it will need to be replaced.

Removed the blade bolt and the support. Removed the old blade and put the new blade on the shaft, then the support, then tightened the blade bolt.

Worn out blade

Remove the spark plug boot to prevent an accidental start. Use a socket wrench to undo blade bolt and remove the blade. Install new blade and fasten the bolt with the same socket. Re-attach the spark plug boot.

Tilted mower deck on its side and removed the blade bolt, blade support and the damaged blade. Installed the new blade, blade support and the blade bolt.

It was very easy. I turned the mower on it\'s side , removed the one bolt that holds the blade in place, took off the old blade and installed the new one. Installed the new bag on the bag frame.
