This is a genuine item is supplied by the original equipment manufacturer for use with Murray lawn mowers. It is the cable that stops the blade when the control handle is released. If the cable is broken it will cause the brake to not release even when the lever is pressed. It provides an identical replacement for a missing or a faulty component that was installed on a new unit. Please make sure to check the owner's manual and the appropriate diagrams for your model for the correct repair procedure.
