This is a genuine OEM sourced component which is specially designed for use with walk-behind lawn mowers. It is the cable that stops the blade when the control handle is released, unfortunately, if the cable is broken it will cause the brake to not release even when the lever is pressed. Please make sure to refer to the owners manual and the appropriate diagrams of your model for the correct location and application of this part. Keep in mind this high-quality rubber insulated control cable is sold individually.
