This is an authentic replacement part manufactured for use with MTD walk-behind lawnmowers. The throttle cable is the linkage between the throttle control and the engine. The cable is used to adjust the speed of the engine. Over time cables wear out and can fray or the ends can snap off. Replacing a broken cable is a relatively easy repair and can keep your lawnmower running. This throttle cable is sold as an individual replacement part.
