This is an authentic OEM part for use with MTD, Yard-Man, Troy-Bilt Lawn Mowers. The drive control cable engages the gear case to drive the lawn mower. The most common reason for replacing the control cable is if it is broken, causing the brake to not release even when the lever is pressed. The tool that you will need to replace the drive control cable is pliers.
