It is a genuine OEM sourced replacement part that is made for use on walk-behind lawn mowers. The control cable stops the blade when the control handle is released on walk-behind mowers. If the cable is broken it will cause the brake to not release even when the lever is pressed. Please note this durable metal, rubber insulated control cable is sold individually.
