Used a pair of pliers to compress the plastic locking tabs on both ends of the old cable, so the retainers could be extracted from the keepers. Fed the new cable ends into the hole in the handle mounted actuator bar and the engine operational lever and seated the snap in plastic connectors on the ends of the outer cable into the holders. Entire job took about five minutes and the new cable worked perfectly. An amazingly simple and successful repair!

The ends of the cable were rotated to allow removal from the engine and bail. The plastic mounts were squeezed to facilitate removal from the handle. The new control was installed and secured with zip ties. The product from replacement parts was correct and allows the operator presence safety feature to engage to pull the crank rope. The tutorial video was helpful.
My initial contact was with the manufacturer who had the product on back order. I was pleased to find a source to fulfill my order with a good price, quickly.
