Removed both wheels with a socket removed the axle with a reverse grip to pry the axle housing open.Install and pushed in the new axle attached both wheels set the deck height and mowed the lawn

Lawn mower wheel adjustment lever fractured from rear wheel axle assembly
We watched a youtube video on how to do the repair. My son did the repair. It went very quickly. The part was perfect. It sure was nice to have the mower repaired rather than buying a new mower.
Put mower on wood plate form , Cut axle through and slid pieces out each end
Aligned axle and pressed axle into retaining tabs ,
Placed height adjustment lever over height adjustment bar , installed wheel and put locking nuts on end of axle ,and tightened nuts
