1. I put mower on jackstands.
2. I removed the recoil rope from the handle and let it recoil to the motor.
3. I began removing the bolts holding the various portions of the exterior that were attached to the old deck. I started with the front wheels, then the side grass discharge, and then the rear wheels and handles. Lastly I
... Read more removed the blade and the bolts holding on the motor.
4. The reassembly was the reverse, but I added some lock washers on the 3 bolts that hold the motor in place. I also used some locktite for extra hold. I used a dap of grease on all of the bolts used for easy assembly and to insure all was well during reassembly.
5. I started my mower and it is like a new mower again. I love my Troybilt Honda mower.
