Product Description

?

This cable-traction is sourced directly from the original equipment manufacturer. It is specially designed for use with Toro and Lawn Boy lawn mowers. The traction cable engages drive wheels on the equipment. Over time it may wear out or get damaged eventually requiring a replacement. It is connected to the bail and then attached to the traction bracket near the transmission. Refer to the owners manual and the appropriate diagrams of your model for the exact location and the correct installation. One durable rubber insulated cable is included. You may need pliers and a wrench set to disconnect the old part and attach the new one.

Pull cord was ready to snap, air filter was very old and dirty, rope guide broken and traction cable broken.

Difficulty Level:
A Bit Difficult
Total Repair Time:
1- 2 hours
Tools:
Pliers, Screw drivers, Socket set, Wrench set
Parts Used:
92-6518, 86-9671, 613773, 107-4621
All of the repairs were very straightforward except replacing the pull cord. Be careful to remember how all the parts go together as you take it apart (maybe take pictures along the way) and try to keep the recoil spring in the mechanism. Mine popped out and it took a good bit of time to get it coiled tight enough to get it back in. Al l the parts I ordered were a perfect fit!

Cable was straight forward. The primer bulb had to be soaked in hot water for a few minutes to soften up. Could not get it to fit into the place where it goes without warming it up.
