The most common reason for replacing the blade adapter is if it is worn or damaged. This part is sold individually. The tools you will need for replacing the blade adapter are 5/8" socket, hammer, torque wrench.

Removed the blade bolt and washers from the blade, removed the blade and the broken adapter. Cleaned the drive shaft, then installed the new adapter, blade, washers and the blade bolt.

Take off the blade and the belt. Then removed the old adapter and put the new one on.
