Remove hub cap from the wheels. remove the nut holding the wheels to the axle. Remove the old wheels , clean the axle and add a little lube to it. Slide on the new wheels, tighten the nut and put the hub cap on.
This is the second time I have had to replace the same wheel. I didnÆt realize the first time that the housing that holds the wheel support structure was bent. As a result the metal drive gear wore out the plastic teeth on the inside of the wheel. I finally figured out why the wheel was not parallel to the wheel on the opposite side. The
... Read moreframe of the mower was bent. ThatÆs when I took a rubber mallet and physically banged on the frame until the wheel could be set parallel to the other one. I then ordered a new wheel and replaced the defective one. That part is very easy to do.
