Steering wire broke

Removed the fixing bolts at back of mower.
Removed cover at steering column to gain access to the chain interface to the wire ropes (2).
Removed old cables and threaded the new ones in place.
Removed Chain interface and hooked up new cables and adjusted center point of steering.
Mounted the new cable bolts to back of tractor steering and adjusted tension.

On this model the steering is done at the rear wheels. The steering wheel has a gear on its shaft that connects to a chain and cable assembly.

Husqvarna does make everything accessible. There is a cover plate to the channel where the cables and guide pulleys are. The steering shaft is pretty accessible. The trick is to have the cables adjusted after installation to have good alignment with the wheels.
