It is an authentic manufacturer-sourced replacement part which is specially designed for use with Craftsman Lawn Mowers and Lawn Tractors. The engine zone control cable stops the engine when you let go of the handle. The most common reason for replacing the engine zone control cable is if it is broken, causing the brake to not release even when the lever is pressed. This part is sold individually. The tool that you will need for this repair is Pliers.
Remove the upper clamp from the handle, unhook the Z-hook from the bail. Then remove the Z-hook from the governor. Install the new one cable in reverse order.
1) Removed pull rope start housing/Fuel tank (4 screws),
2) Needle nose pliers to squeeze then remove cable clips on both ends,
3) Install new cable using pliers again to seat the end clips,
4) Reinstall housing (4 screws didn\'t torque them down until after I tested repair)
