This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer and used in MTD, Yard Machines, Troy-Bilt, Bolens, and Yard Man lawn mowers. The control cable attaches to the control handle and helps to turn off the engine when the handle is released. It is a metal cable inside of a plastic tube and may require a set of pliers to replace if it becomes broken. This part is available as an individual replacement.
