The handle assembly is required to start your lawn mower safely and properly. It is the part held by the operator to push and control the lawn mower. This is the entire handle mechanism, which includes the two side rails, handle-locking clamps, quick-adjust lever, self-propel speed control lever, bail switch, handle, safety button, self-propel trigger, wiring, and all necessary screws. This OEM part is black, silver, and green in color. You should never operate the mower with a faulty handle, as it serves as a safety mechanism. The handle is foldable and can be in either an upper, middle, or lower operating position when in use, depending on your comfort and size. For your motor to start, the side rails need to be fully extended, both green handle-locking clamps need to be closed properly, and the handle needs to be locked into one of the three operating positions.
